Well, what do you say? Quite possibly the best yet most diverse Quo album. Their first outing on the Vertigo label proved a landmark in Quo recordings.
Live crowd favourite Don't Waste My Time opens the album in true Quo style followed by the heavy Oh Baby. Quo prove themselves as worthy classy ballad writers too with A Year and All The Reasons. The magnificent blues track Unspoken Words has some of the best of Francis Rossi's early guitar work combined with Rick Parfitt's incredible voice. More rockers follow with the likes of the amazing Big Fat Mama, the hit single Paper Plane and a well-covered version of The Doors' Roadhouse Blues. Don't analyse this album, that's not what Status Quo is about, just listen to it and enjoy it.
