Now then, Quo marks a significant point in the career of the band. This album is the last of the "heavy" Status Quo albums. If you like your Quo hard, heavy and raw then this is the album for you.

The double header that is Backwater/Just Take Me is quite possibly the best opener to any Quo album. Put simply it just rocks! John Coghlan's drum work joins the two songs together perfectly. The successful single Break the Rules sees it's own way on here then it's followed by more hard rocking tracks Drifting Away & Don't Think It Matters. More folksy/country flavours are served up with Fine Fine Fine (which doesn't really fit in with the album but I digress). The fabulous Lonely Man and another epic Slow Train end this great album. Not an Status Quo album your Granny would like!

Triple pick: Backwater, Just Take Me & Slow Train.
